I'M NOT A MORNING PERSON - MY MORNING ROUTINE SETS THE TONE

I’m not a morning person – I feel most energized at night. 

So, I create morning routines that provide me with structure, before I interact with any devices or humans.

I hack my routines as often as needed to peak perform.

HERE’S WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE WHEN I WAKE UP AND MY MENTAL CHATTER IS HEALTHY.

  • Wake up

  • Mental check-in.  What are my thoughts saying and how are they making me feel?  Listen and feel out the chatter carefully.

  • I feel energized when the chatter matches with whatever I’m manifesting in my life - so I get out of bed.

  • Head downstairs to make a protein shake, egg white-based breakfast, coffee, other

  • Lay out 5 bottles of water on my desk to drink for the day (I’m not a fan of drinking water and I’m a visual person so I need to see them in front of me)

  • Wed, Thurs and Sat I log into my zoom session with my trainer

  • Mon, Tues, and Fri I grab notebook and write out my list of the top things that I’m manifesting in my life.  This list looks very similar day after day.

  • Shower

  • Start my day

HERE’S WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE WHEN I WAKE UP AND MY MENTAL CHATTER IS NOT HEALTHY.

  • Wake up

  • Mental check-in.  What are my thoughts?  What am I telling myself?  Listen and feel carefully.

  • I feel tired and sometimes agitated when the chatter DOESN’T align with whatever I’m manifesting in my life and that’s usually when I press snooze.

  • Lean into gratitude.  Think and say aloud the things that I’m grateful for until I feel aligned, and the mental chatter is healthy.  For example.  Thank you for this comfy pillow.  Thank you for this sunshine today.  Thank you for my friends. Thank you for my health.  Thank you because I always find solutions.  Thank you for another day.  Thank you for my warm home.  Thank you to my family.  Thank you for the two new prospects that we’re submitting proposals to.  Thank you for my partner.  Thank you for a new day to manifest what I desire.  Thank you for my circle of support.

THE ONLY HUMAN THAT I INTERACT WITH IN THE MORNING IS MY PARTNER. SOON IT WILL BE MY KIDS TOO 

One of the reasons that we get along so well is our deliberate way in which we design and manifest the lives we want for ourselves.  Every morning we share 2 things with each other. 

1.  What we’re grateful for (verbal)
2. Love letter to each other (verbal)

The main reason that I’ve made it to where I am is because not a soul on this earth believes in me more than I do in myself.  It’s up to me to manage what thoughts I allow my mind to give energy to.  It’s never perfect but it’s like a muscle that I feed and grow.
